With its debut album, this young band from Vienna follows the footsteps of honorable Austrian prog masters like "Matter Of Taste". The music on this concept album is not of the kind I'd call particularly innovative - it travels pretty much on well known roads paved by many others long ago. However, these youngsters do it in a highly pleasant way, skillfully avoiding the pitfalls of pseudo-progressive phrase rehashing most of the time - certainly more successfully so than several of their experienced grand paragons of prog.

Tired of prog monotony? This album might spark your interest again! It's really much better than I'd expected... I was afraid that this 2-hour mammut, starting out with three 21-minute epics, might turn out to be a real horror show. However, it's quite a diverting opus, mainly due to Ian Gordon being a very gifted and versatile composer, who is aquainted with several diverse genres. On this album, clever songwriting meets massive (and most of the time typically "proggy") arrangements, heavy on vintage keyboards and roaring guitars.

From the awesome vocals and great storytelling songwriting brilliantly complemented with soaring, melodic guitar work to the quality keyboarding and tight drum and bass team backing them up, this is prog rock at its best. Music and musicians of this calibre and quality are the antedote to the social media driven, factory-made industry pop that is marketed to us today. This is an outstanding debut album from a band of experienced and talented musicians. May there be many more to come.
